A classic Chinese contemporary novel in which the author describes her childhood in Beijing China. This new edition comes with photographs which the author describes in her story. A book highly recommended for the young adult. - Submitted by Elise @ WRL(26 May 2005)
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting book, which you'll grow to like it more with every page you turn. The author brings the reader back into her past, her childhood days, and through the eyes of a little girl, we get to see how Beijing was like in the past. The innocence and frankness of the little captivate the reader and the photos of the old houses and streets seem to bring you back in time. A good read for a laid back afternoon! - Submitted by Y.X. @ WRL (31 May 2005)
